Type A FIBCs are made of plain weave polypropylene and other non-conductive fabrics. Static electricity is generated as the product moves or rubs against the inner surface of the FIBC as the product is being filled/emptied. Type A bulk bags have no electrostatic protection.

Type A bulk bags can safely transport non-flammable products. There should be no flammable solvents or flammable gases around the Type A FIBC.

Type A FIBC can be used for: Transporting non-flammable products. There are no flammable solvents or flammable gases around the bag.

Do not use Type A FIBC: Transport flammable products. When flammable solvents or gases are present around the bag. Cannot be used in flammable environments with minimum ignition energy ≤1,000mJ.
